New York City is the perfect hot bed for a myriad of cuisines for those looking to expand their palate. The city that never sleeps has more than its fair share of restaurants to please anyone’s craving. Being that this city is such a melting pot of cultures and nationalities, one could pretty much find any food that they are in the mood for. With the myriad of places to eat and new restaurants opening every day, there is no need for one to go to a chain restaurant or to ever get sick of something. What’s also great about New York City is the fact that a new restaurant opens every week. So there are always a number of options to use.

That said, this review will focus on Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House. Del Frisco’s is one of the best steak and seafood houses in New York City featuring the best grade A quality steaks as well as the freshest seafood. The Del Frisco’s restaurant group is known for the quality of their steaks and seafood and there are a number of items on the menu to display a range of what is offered. Set right in the heart of midtown in Manhattan, Del Frisco’s is located near Rockefeller Center, Times Square, and Radio City Music Hall. In addition to their amazing steaks and seafood, Del Frisco’s also has a selection of over a thousand wines to compliment your meal.

From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with the luxury of the decor and the warm presence of the staff. Once seated, you’re offered the menu, you’re presented with number of different menu items including an array of different steaks and seafood options. For starters, if you’re a lover of seafood, it’s strongly suggested to try the shellfish plateau. Laying on a bed of ice, there’s a perfect blend of oysters on a half shell, iced jumbo rock shrimp, chilled crab claws, and Alaskan king crab legs garnished with lemon wedges and parsley. After indulging in some of the freshest seafood you’ll ever taste, it’s the moment to select your steak for the evening. Del Frisco’s menu offers a number of options ranging in cuts and size. When ordering steaks, a lot of restaurants will overcook the steak. Contrary to other restaurants, Del Frisco’s grills your steak to perfection and exactly how you ordered it. When it comes to sides, Del Frisco’s is unmatched. A crowd favorite is always the King Crab Gnocchi or the lobster mac and cheese. The gnocchi is a perfect blend of cream and crab which compliment the gnocchi perfectly. The crab is has a nice fresh taste without being too “fishy”.

All in all, Del Frisco’s is pricey, but it’s definitely worth every penny!
